Sweet Stuff Water Softeners home (904) 201-2888

How we work

No mystery, no pressure. Here's exactly what happens from your first call to your first soft shower.

1. You call or text, and a real person answers

That's the owner's wife, who runs the phone and the calendar. She'll ask a few quick questions: city water or a well, what's bugging you about your water, whether you have a softener now, and roughly where it would go. Prefer typing? The quote questionnaire asks the same things.

2. Free hardness test at your tap

We fill a sample from your kitchen tap and test it in front of you, in grains per gallon. You'll know your number whether you buy anything or not. If you're on a well, we'll also talk about smell and staining. Read more about the free water test.

3. A recommendation and a posted price

Based on your water and household, we recommend one of our posted packages. We confirm the final price for your water source and install location before any work starts. If a softener doesn't make sense for you, we'll say so.

4. Install day

  • We protect the work area and set the new softener at your existing softener-ready connection. For a replacement, we remove the old unit.
  • We program it for your measured hardness and household size, not a factory default.
  • Outdoor system? If you added the Sweet Curb Pad, we build the rock or mulch pad where the brine discharges.
  • We clean up. You shouldn't be able to tell we were there, except for the softer water.

5. After test and a quick tour

We test the water again so you can see the difference, then show you how to add salt, what the display means and how to put it in bypass. We'll also leave you with our simple Florida maintenance routine.

What we don't do

We stay in our lane: we don't add or move water lines, and we don't do electrical work. Electrical outlet not included: you provide a working outlet, or our trusted licensed electrician can install one (quoted separately).

Pricing: Prices may vary by water source and install location; your final price is confirmed after the free water test, before any work starts.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an install take?

Most installs at an existing softener-ready connection take a few hours, including the before-and-after tests and programming.

Do I need to be home?

Yes, at least at the start and the end, so we can test your water together, confirm the spot and the price, and show you how the softener works.

Who will come to my house?

The owner. He does every installation himself: no rotating crews, no subcontractors. His wife is the one you talk to when you call or text to book.

Can the price change on the day?

Pricing may vary depending on your water source and install location (for example well vs. city water, the distance to the existing connection, or access). Your final price is confirmed after your free water test, before any work starts.

What do you not do?

We don't add or move water lines, and we don't do electrical work. We install at your existing softener-ready connection. If you need an outlet, our trusted licensed electrician can quote it separately.
